Photographing at Royal Oaks Flower Farm

There are certain locations that I find myself getting excited to photograph at again and again, and Royal Oaks Flower Farm is definitely one of them!

I’ve had the opportunity to photograph several sessions at the farm, and every time I go, I’m reminded why I love it so much. Between the rows of beautiful flowers, the open space, and the gorgeous evening light, there are so many little pockets to work with. Even when I’m photographing multiple sessions there, each gallery can still feel completely different.

A Beautiful Backdrop Without Taking Away From YOU

One of my favorite things about photographing at Royal Oaks Flower Farm is that the location adds so much beauty without overpowering the people in the photos.

The flowers bring in gorgeous color and texture, which fits perfectly with my bright, vibrant, true-to-life photography style. Whether I’m photographing a couple, a family, maternity photos, or little ones running through the flowers, it creates such a happy and natural setting.

And when we get that perfect golden evening light? Even better!

Perfect for Natural, Candid Photos

If you’ve worked with me before, you know I love photos that actually feel like you. Of course we’ll get those classic everyone-looking-at-the-camera photos, but some of my favorites are always the in-between moments.

Walking together. Kids being silly. Couples laughing. Little hands picking flowers. Those moments where you almost forget there’s a camera there.

Royal Oaks gives us plenty of room to move around, which makes it such a fun location for creating those more natural, candid images.

A Location I Keep Coming Back To

After photographing at Royal Oaks Flower Farm multiple times, it has definitely become one of those places I’m always happy to return to. Every visit looks a little different depending on what’s blooming, the light, and the season, and I love seeing what we can create each time.

It’s also why I’ve loved offering mini sessions here. You don’t need a huge amount of time to create a gallery full of beautiful, colorful images when the location already gives us so much to work with.
